The picture to the left was taken with the flash on in a darker light setting room. The camera was also set on manual setting.
The next picture was taken on manual mode with a low shutter speed of 10. The lighting used was a wall light that sat behind the flower.
The third photo was taken again on manual mode with a low shutter speed of 10. The lighting this time was a lamp that sat to the side of the flower.
The last photo was taken with the same lamp and same settings on the camera just a different angle. I think my favorite would be the second picture that used the wall light.

WOW! These are amazing! Their almost exactly like the lillies I have! Good job and their absolutely breath taking pictures!
ReplyDeleteGreat job with this assignment! I really liked the idea of using the same object and working around the lighting and auto/manual settings. Do you think this helped you gain a deeper understanding of your manual settings and lighting in general? I agree with you the second image is quite nice. I actually like the final photo, I like the way the light lands behind the petals and makes the pistol and stamen stand out…I think it is striking. Nicely done.
ReplyDeleteThe lighting in the last photo has a really unique effect on the flower even though its a bit shadowy. The first and second photo capture really nice color in those lighting situations.
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous flowers! They make me long for summer and the beautiful lillies that grow in my garden.
ReplyDeleteKelly I know manual settings pretty well, but after this assignment I feel a lot more comortable playing around with manual mode to get different effects.
