Both pictures are of a scented dried fruit air freshener. In the first picture it is centered which was automatic for me, and then after exploring different angles I begin to think about composition. It takes a lot of practice to get yourself out of the routine of taking a picture with the object centered. I like the rule of thirds composition because it gives room for eyes to wonder within the composition rather than having everything focused in the middle.
