Photoshop Fun

While driving home from school I noticed a nice clear blue spot in the sky framed by dark clouds, and thought to myself it would be pretty neat to have an eye within that spot. I continued to think about this spot of blue sky all the way home, which is an hour drive. I then thought it would be neat to try to put clouds within the eye like a reflection or another image as if the eye was looking through the sky at something. When I arrived home the spot was no longer framed by dark clouds, so I tried it out anyway and came up with this photo. I took a picture of one of my sister's eyes and the clouds that I saw. As I was playing around in photoshop I couldn't quite get the image inside the eye as a reflection, so I continued adding clouds around the eye until I was happy with the result. I don't quite like the clouds on the left side that are traveling over the eye.
In the second photo I tried to fix the clouds on the left side and made the clouds on the top of the eye have less of an edge. I am still not sure if I'm completely happy with it yet.

  1. Really nice job! But I have this overwhelming sense that I am being watched, I can't seem to shake it!

  2. This is really nice! I am feeling so inept after seeing such great work from everyone. My photo looks like it was done by a two year old! LOL! Excellent job! :)

  3. Tonia,

I can relate to your statement of "not sure if I'm completely happy with it yet" as I experienced that same feeling with my own editing! The thing is, we keep practicing and trying out new concepts and ideas! Great work here...

  4. Most art is never finished. It is only when you decide to put a frame on it that it is done. In this case it is posting it. Even then, with digital tools, you can make another and another different each time. It's definitely not oil paint.....
    Good work! Keep on playing!
