Photoshop 1

So this is my first time working with photoshop and have learned it takes a lot of practice. In my first photo I used the picture of the lily that I took and a picture of candles that I took. I used the lasso tool to select the candles then created a new layer to drag into the photo of the lily. I then used the eraser tool to clean up the edges of the candles. I changed the opacity of the candles to try to create a relaxing peaceful scene.
The second photo is my favorite. I used the picture I took for frames, and added a picture of my sister within the frame, which is a bus mirror. I resized the picture of the bus mirror selected it, made a new layer then added the bus mirror directly over the picture of my sister. I used the eraser tool to erase some of the mirror to allow the bottom layer to come threw.
The last photo is of grass with three shadows on it. I used a photo of fall leaves as a bottom layer and used the same method as the second photo. Dragged a direct layer then used the eraser along the shadows to bring out the fall leaves. As I said before photoshop is going to take a lot of practice.

  1. I absolutely love the picture with the candles & flower! The contrast is gorgeous and the transparency of the candles with the flower showing through is great!

  3. I am impressed. If this is what you are producing without practice, then I can't wait to see what will become when you get better at this. The last one with the shadows removed and the leaves revealed is exceptional. Keep working like this and you will have a really impressive portfolio.
